GENERAL BILL   by Policy & Budget Council and Healthcare Council and Grimsley (CO-SPONSORS) Harrell; Hasner; Homan; Hukill; Long; Patronis; Porth; Roberson, Y.; Schwartz
Electronic Health Records: Creates Florida eHealth Initiative Act; authorizes AHCA to operate Electronic Medical Records System Adoption Loan Program; provides for eligibility, terms, & conditions for granting loans; expands access to certain medical information & laboratory reports to facilitate exchange of data between health care facilities, practitioners, & providers; creates Florida Health Information Exchange Advisory Council; requires Florida Center for Health Information and Policy Analysis to provide staff support; requires reports to Governor & Legislature; provides for future abolition of council; provides duties of AHCA regarding information on its Internet website; requires AHCA to promote health information exchanges; requires OPPAGA to evaluate grants program & submit evaluation to Governor & Legislature.
