GENERAL BILL   by Healthcare Council and Zapata (CO-SPONSORS) Homan; Porth
Medicaid Provider Service Networks: Authorizes AHCA to contract with specialty provider service network that exclusively enrolls Medicaid beneficiaries who have psychiatric disabilities; requires specialty provider to offer same physical & behavioral health services that are required from other Medicaid HMOs & provider service networks; requires agency to modify eligibility assignment processes for managed care pilot programs to include specialty plans that specialize in care for beneficiaries who have psychiatric disabilities; requires agency to provide service delivery alternative to provide Medicaid services to persons having psychiatric disabilities; provides additional criterion for agency in making assignments; requires enrollment & choice counseling materials to contain explanation concerning choice of network or plan; provides additional open enrollment period following availability of specialty services.
